Your Appointments receive a reminder through facebook messenger that they have an appointment with you. This makes it less likely for them to forget their appointment.
Imagine having a higher percentage of appointments actually showing up and less time being wasted. This may seem like a small thing, however it’s actually huge. The real cost of lost or forgotten appointments is huge. It’s why professionals like doctors, dentists, hair dressers etc send reminder text messages.
Facebook takes care of that for you. You just have to use their calendar and it’s totally free.
To Connect Google Calendar to a Facebook Page follow these steps:
1. Connect google calendar to facebook page edit button to book now
2. Click Make a booking with you
3. Click book now
4. Click Appointments on Facebook
Click Start Setup and then click Next if you want to show your available appointments. If you don’t want to show your available appointments, click Not Now.
If you chose to show your available appointments, set the days and times you want to regularly offer appointments on your calendar and then click Next. Adjust your preferences for things like appointment approval and advance notice and then click Next.
Click “sync to google calendar”
Choose your google account
Click Allow to connect to google calendar
Tick the google calendars you want to sync on your facebook page. Remember, people won’t see your appointments, they will only see your available options that they can book.
List the services you would like to offer on your page
Click Add a Service and then Done
Fill in details
Add as many services as you would like then click done once completed
Almost done, now add your first google calendar appointment within Facebook Pages
Change Your Appointment Settings
To change your settings for your available appointments, services list and appointment messaging:
- At the top of your Page, click Appointments.
- In the left column, click Appointment settings.
From here, you can choose whether your Page shows available appointments, the duration of your appointments and customer reminders, among other things.
Add New Appointments
If you’ve turned on Show Available Appointments in your Page’s appointment settings, people can see your business’s availability and book an appointment with you automatically from your Page.
If you’ve turned off Show Available Appointments, people will be able to message you with a request for an appointment. You can either confirm the appointment in Messenger, or you can manually add an appointment on the Appointments tab of your Page.
To manually add an appointment:
- At the top of your Page, click Appointments.
- In the top left, click +Add Appointment.
- Fill out details about the appointment and then click Create Appointment.
See All of Your Scheduled Appointments
To see all of your scheduled appointments, click Appointments at the top of your Page. To message any of your customers who have booked an appointment, click Message next to their name.

I use this tool all the time now. I don’t have to fumble around trying to find a time that works for me and them because my available times are displayed automatically and they can choose one that works for them. If I need to block out a time, I just go to my google calendar and block out that time which automatically blocks out the time on my facebook page.
